Do you have any advice for someone wanting to join NYPD from England? Im currently studying Police and Criminal Investigation at University trying to get a life sorted over in NY.

y would u want to go for nypd?? crappy salary for expensive ny life, 2 yr probation and ur on foot patrol in freezing cold weather/rain anyway y dont u look for other departments like nassau and suffolk county pd but the test is in 2011. u can also look at other states like texas which is very good on cost of living/decent salary........california ton of departments are hiring here with average starting salaries $58,000 but cali is expensive to live in.
